Brainclub5000 Newsletter 003
Hello! This week has been another wild one in the world of Creative AI and other tools! A name has been chosen, more on that at the bottom! Let’s get into it!
This week’s features.

A newsletter name!
Can you use AI in your creative workflow today?

Yes and no! No* for published assets and yes for internal work! With new tools popping up in your feed every day, it’s impossible to know what to use, how to use it and what you can use it for. A base layer of AI APIs new companies are being built on have private datasets to give customers a choice of aesthetics and uniqueness in generations.
There is a minefield that needs defining for this new industry to thrive. Currently, the US patent office says solely AI-created images cannot be copyrighted unless they have human involvement, which I guess would be the art of prompt writing. it’s the space between that count and that’s called Latent Space.
With ChatGPT rolling out its pro version today (Feb 2, 23) and the tools listed below, the daily work these tools will really mean the difference between commercial success or failure. Ensuring the use of AI is central to your new creative process will be vital.
New roles like chief AI officer, AI Directors, and AI strategists will be able to help clients and creative agencies and creators navigate and utilise these new tools, processes and ideas, adding enormous value to commercial and cultural creativity. For the pioneering business unafraid of embracing AI creativity as a meaningful resource, these roles will spearhead new departments and entire new agency models. More on that next week!
Great article here -
* Brands, artists and creators are using AI, though without the legal space being defined bigger brands are still reticent to use AI with legal precedent. Because that could mean the loss of any creative asset created.
AI slated to win Cannes Grand Prix*

An imagined BMW campaign that personalizes every vehicle for its new owner.
“The Cannes Creative Lions is a very prestigious award in the advertising industry, and winning the Grand Prix is a significant achievement. The award recognizes excellence in creativity and innovation. This campaign for BMW utilizing AI for personalization at scale for a luxury client highlights the potential for this technology to create hyper-unique and relevant experiences for consumers, at a 1:1 - societal scale. This campaign showcases how AI can be used to enhance the customer journey and create a more impactful brand experience across the funnel”
I imagine a Cannes Grand Prix being won by an AI-created campaign in the near future (2024) but, it might be a journey to get there with legal issues that surround the space. What excites me is imagining a new landscape of creatives, brands and creators - all supported by AI, which takes away the need for creative drudgery
Replacing it and enabling this creative community to apply their creativity to many other industries, and focus on what humans can do that AI can’t - self-imagination, lateral thinking and curiosity.
This is the start of something magical for every creative person and the worlds and industries that surround them, We can finally make any idea we imagine, creativity at a scale unimaginable!
AI that can write a movie is here!

How Dramatron Works
A new AI from Deepmind - AI that can write a movie is here. Dramatron is a system that uses AI to write scripts and screenplays. Give it a log line, and Dramatron interactively generates character descriptions, plot points, location descriptions and dialogue. These generations provide human authors with material for compilation, editing, and rewriting.
This isn’t public but, I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Just imagine the possibility of AI-generated, infinite episodes of Fraiser!

A Name!
The newsletter has now been folded into Brainclub5000, which is an experimental 97% AI creative agency I created last year to explore AI for creativity. Its purpose is to explore the potentiality of AI for the creative industries. And continuing that journey, this newsletter feels like a perfect fit as Brainclub5000 goes from fictional to functional.
