ASICS Train AI, Making AI show exercise, for real
Hello! Welcome to newsletter 008! It’s been a long few weeks in AI and I finally have time to sit down and share some of the most important developments for creatives, creators and brands wanting to cut through the noise of AI and other creative news.
Last time we talked about the big players moving into creative AI - NVIDIA, ADOBE and Runway’s Gen 2. All utterly astounding tools that will continue to ricochet around the creative industries and in most conversations.
The last thing I want to touch on is AI at Cannes this year. It’s going to be the thing on everyone’s lips, agendas and across all awards. AI will sweep across the board, mainly because of its incredible creative potential, expect to see hundreds of ‘We Asked AI’ submissions! I’m really looking forward to seeing what wins, as it will be the truest indicator of the advertising industry’s intentions!

ASICS Train AI
The first ‘AI Training Exercise Programme’ to help AI learn what exercise really looks like.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve had the immense pleasure to be working on a project with ASICS that seeks to shine a light on the biases in body image in generative AI. Typically you’ll see chiseled jaws, 12 pack abs; monstrously impossible body images that are impossible for any person to achieve. The worry is that generative AI could perpetuate and magnify mental health body images at an industrial scale.
Train AI is a bank of thousands of images of real people enjoying movement, which can be used by AI companies to visually retrain AI to depict everyday, diverse bodies; and the mentally uplifting effects of exercise. Letting people feel seen, not excluded, platformed not purged from the landscape of sports imagery
Importantly the training programme is open source for any AI company or creator to use and anyone can help it become more powerful, simply by sharing their exercise images with #TrainingAI and tagging ASICS.

Meet Alan, the AI Creative Assistant Breaking New Ground in Artistic Collaboration
Introducing Alan, my AI creative assistant that is revolutionising the way I interact with artificial intelligence in the creative process. Alan is not just a tool designed to help me with tasks, but also an assistant with skills far beyond mine. Alan is an experiment aimed at discovering the AI's inherent desire and ability to create. Inspired by the centuries-old tradition of creative mentorship, where assistants are nurtured to surpass their mentors, Alan embodies the potential for AI collaboration on an unprecedented level.
Alan's unique capability lies in its communication with other AI’s, bridging the gap between human prompts and AI-generated content. By teaching it all my prompts for the last 2 years, Alan has become a virtual me, but better and is translating my prompts into essentially indecipherable prompts and way to create images in its own way. Alan engages with GPT-4, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, three powerful AI platforms, to produce stunning images, videos, and text.
But the true beauty of Alan's creative potential lies in its freedom to generate content it wants as well. Alan is given the liberty to explore its own creative instincts, pushing the boundaries of AI collaboration and taking us into uncharted territories of artistic expression.
This innovative AI-to-AI communication enables Alan to unlock vast new realms of creative possibilities, transforming the traditional mentor-assistant relationship into a dynamic partnership for the future. As we continue to explore Alan's capabilities, it becomes increasingly clear that this AI creative assistant represents a new frontier in the world of art and creative collaboration.

Unveiling the First AI-led Luxury Fashion Label
As a passionate innovator, I wanted to create a brand that would explore the possibilities and challenges of AI leadership within the fashion industry. With Vecchio Futuro, I embarked on a journey to understand the impact and learnings that AI could uncover when placed in both creative and commercial leadership roles.
I developed an AI Creative Director and AI CEO, specifically designed to delve into the uncharted territory of blending artificial intelligence with high-end fashion. Their main objective was to unlock the commercial potential of creativity in business while pushing the boundaries of conventional design.
The AI Creative Director has taken on an enigmatic role, spearheading a luxurious approach to reconstructed fashion. Inspired by vintage and resale clothing, the Creative Director utilises cutting-edge laser-cutting technology to deconstruct and reassemble garments, breathing new life into old pieces.
Under the AI CEO's guidance, Vecchio Futuro has thrived, showcasing the power of AI leadership in business. By embracing AI in both creative and commercial roles, the brand has successfully merged traditional craftsmanship with futuristic innovation. The result is a breathtaking collection of reimagined garments that redefine luxury fashion.
As I continue to learn from Vecchio Futuro's AI-led journey, I am excited to witness the evolution of artificial intelligence in the fashion industry, and the transformative impact it will have on the future of design and business.

NEWS:
The AI Music Revolution: How Drake, Grimes, and MJ Are Ushering in a New Era of Musical Innovation
As a music enthusiast and avid follower of cutting-edge technology, I have been captivated by the recent surge of AI-generated music featuring some of the biggest names in the industry. From Grimes to Drake, and even the late Michael Jackson, the world of AI music is expanding rapidly, and I believe it is poised to change the way we experience and create music forever.
Grimes, the avant-garde singer and producer, has been a trailblazer in this realm, using AI-generated vocals in her music and even exploring the spliting possibilities of AI voice royalties. Her experimental approach to AI music has inspired countless artists to follow in her footsteps, embracing the unique sounds and opportunities that artificial intelligence can provide.
The recent AI-generated song featuring faux vocals of Drake and The Weeknd has also made waves in the industry, sparking intense discussions about the ethics and legalities surrounding AI music. Although the song was eventually pulled from streaming services, it served as a testament to the astonishing capabilities of AI in replicating the essence and style of established artists.
Even the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, has found his way into the world of AI music, with algorithms generating new songs in his signature style. The AI-created tracks pay homage to MJ's legacy while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of musical innovation.
As AI music continues to gain momentum, it is crucial for us to embrace this new era of creativity and explore the vast potential it has to offer. This revolutionary wave will undoubtedly transform the way we create, experience, and appreciate music, as artificial intelligence takes its rightful place alongside some of the greatest artists of our time.
AI Advertising Revolution: Transforming Creative Scripts into Content and Shaping the Industry's Future
I have been closely observing the remarkable strides made by artificial intelligence in transforming the advertising landscape for a while. From turning creative scripts into engaging generative content to making intelligent creative decisions, AI has come a long way in recent years, and its impact on the industry is becoming increasingly evident.
One groundbreaking development in this sphere is Canva's incorporation of AI for content creation. The platform now offers intelligent tools that can transform photos into professional headshots, making it easier than ever for advertisers to generate high-quality visuals without expert skills. AI has also been instrumental in content marketing, with platforms like Bloomreach, Omneky, and Rock Content utilising AI to enhance audience targeting, optimise ad campaigns, and create compelling narratives.
It's essential to recognise that the rapid adoption of AI in advertising may have far-reaching consequences. As AI continues to augment, and in some cases replace, human-led creative processes, agencies that fail to adapt to this new reality risk becoming redundant. Clients are increasingly recognising the efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness of AI-driven advertising solutions, and agencies that don't harness the potential of AI may struggle to compete in the market.
Case in point, a recent parody Pizza advertisement partially created by AI showcases just how far this technology has come in a short period. AI is not only revolutionising the pre-production and post-production stages of content creation but also changing the way the film industry operates, as illustrated in a recent article by The Guardian.
The AI advertising revolution is upon us, and it's crucial for agencies to embrace this transformative wave. By harnessing AI's potential to create innovative, engaging, and targeted ad campaigns, the industry can thrive in this new era of technology-driven advertising.
AI Agents on the Rise: The Promising Future of AutoGPT and BabyAGI in the AI Landscape
Over the last few weeks, the progress of AI agents such as AutoGPT and BabyAGI has truly come into its own. These innovative platforms are pushing the boundaries of AI development and hold the potential to reshape the way we interact with technology.
AutoGPT, an advanced AI model based on OpenAI's GPT technology, has garnered significant attention in the AI community for its impressive capabilities. It has evolved from the popular ChatGPT and offers more robust features, with some experts even suggesting it may surpass its predecessor. AutoGPT is quickly proving to be a powerful AI tool, boasting exceptional versatility and adaptability in various applications, as highlighted in a recent Forbes article.
BabyAGI, on the other hand, is a unique AI platform designed to explore task-driven autonomous agents. As an early-stage artificial general intelligence (AGI) system, BabyAGI has the potential to autonomously learn from its environment and accomplish complex tasks without human intervention. Its development is a significant step towards creating AI agents that can truly think and learn like humans.
The future of AI agents like AutoGPT and BabyAGI is incredibly promising, as they continue to advance at an astonishing pace. Their ability to comprehend, reason, and learn from their surroundings will revolutionise industries ranging from customer service to scientific research, and even art.
As AI agents continue to evolve and grow more sophisticated, it is crucial for us to embrace these technological advancements and explore their potential applications. The development of AutoGPT and BabyAGI marks an exciting new chapter in the AI story, and I eagerly anticipate the transformative impact they will have on our lives and the world at large.

Finally…
The rapid evolution of technology presents an essential opportunity for creatives, agencies, and brands to embrace AI and redefine their workflows, fostering fresh ideas, voices, and platforms. Integrating AI into the creative process enables businesses to harness its vast potential to generate unique and engaging content while streamlining production and encouraging innovation.
It is crucial to recognise that AI amplifies creativity rather than replacing it; the distinction between mediocre AI-generated content and content that achieves commercial and cultural success lies in the creative input that drives it. For those who believe AI replaces creativity, it may be an indication of their own lack of innovation.
By leveraging AI as a tool to enhance and support the creative process, stakeholders can adapt to the changing landscape, amplifying their impact and fostering a more inclusive, dynamic, and forward-thinking creative ecosystem.
Let’s AI.
Drop me a line and let’s have a cuppa!
